What is the difference between Take & Bake Meals and Grab & Go Meals?Take & Bake meals along with side dishes and desserts are assembled in disposable baking pans with cooking instructions. Take & Bake meals are designed to feed 2 adults and can be baked right from frozen or quicker if thawed in advance.
Grab & Go meals provide prepared ingredients assembled separately to allow you the flexibility to put your own personal touch on each meal. Items such as butter and cheese are packaged separately to allow for more control in preparing the meals. Grab & Go meals feed 4 to 6 adults and must be thawed in advance.
How should I thaw my meals? The safest way to thaw your meals is in the refrigerator over night. To thaw Grab & Go meals quicker remove the individual bags from the package and place in a bowl in the sink and run a steady steam of cold water over packets until thawed. You can also thaw your meals in the microwave using the defrost programming. This may require reducing the cooking time to adjust for the ingredients being warmer.
Can I microwave my meals? Each ingredient is prepared separately and assembled in the Take & Bake pans while cold. For best results the meals should be baked to allow time for the flavors to come together.
Sometimes my Take & Bake meals require longer cook times. All ovens are different and can run a little hotter or a little cooler. For best results place your meal in the oven, turn oven on and set to required temperature. Once your oven reaches the designated temperature set the cook timer. Make sure that the meal has reached the required temperature as listed on the label.
Can I refreeze my meals?Once the meals have been cooked they can be refrozen once. If you have several portions leftover package them in desired portion sizes in freezable containers.
Do you use MSG?No we do not use MSG. However you should be aware that there is some naturally occurring MSG in a small amount of the products we use.
